It features an optical resolution of 600 dpi for recording fine detail and provides scan speeds of 50 ppm at 200 dpi and single-pass duplex scanning at 100 ipm. Additionally, the 48-bit internal color depth provides accurate color reproduction.

The automatic document feeder benefits an efficient workflow with a 200-sheet capacity. Also, the N9120 has ultrasonic multi-feed detection to ensure that paper feeds correctly and with a 5000 page daily duty cycle the unit is very durable. Built-in features increase the scanner’s capabilities, including OCR and the automatic deskew, rotate, crop, and sizing. Kofax Virtual ReScan Pro, IRIS Readiris Pro OCR, and HP Smart Document Scan software are bundled with the unit. Additionally, it has USB 2.0 connectivity to a computer.
